Ban Ki-moon weighs in on Lebanon

Lebanon has been in and out of turmoil for the past 35 years.  Despite being a small country, it has to deal with three large groups, none of which represent a majority of the people.  Those are the Christians, the Shi’ites, and the Sunnis.  Add to that trap a propensity for other states to get involved in the Lebanon’s squabbles, especially Israel, Syria, and Iran.  Hezbollah, of course, also represents another challenge to Lebanese stability.  Basically, the country has a lot of problems to overcome.  Now, the Secretary General of the United Nations is weighing in on the situation.  Read more about it in this Al Jazeera article.
